~ ABOUT ME ~

I am a storyteller at heart, raised in theater. The stage fueled a passion in me for theatrical music and large ensembles. I received my B.M. in Flute Performance from NYU Steinhardt in 2014 where I studied with Gary Schocker. I freelanced in the greater NYC area performing in musical theater, opera and orchestral ensembles. I began teaching private flute and piano lessons to students of all ages over eight years ago. I was Music Director and conductor for Pied Piper Youth Theater and Bedford Community Theater. Since 2015 I have also been a teaching artist for Crossing Point Arts in NYC, bringing arts to the survivors of human trafficking. In 2019 the fashion show ‘Curvy Con’ invited me to performed Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” live on the runway in NYC. I was halfway through converting a Ford Transit cargo van into a fully functioning, off-grid camper when the pandemic hit. This huge change inspired me to take a leap of faith in my career. I completed the van build and became a virtual flute & piano teacher. Each week my students joined me via the computer screen in my tiny home on wheels to tour America’s great outdoors. I started a concert series called “Tiny House, Big Stages” finding unique, outdoor venues around the country to host impromptu flute concerts performing covers songs of all genres. Today, three years later, I teach from the music studio in my second DIY van and share my creativity on Instagram. I travel full time with my partner, Matt, and beloved dog, Izzy. I fill my life with good food, quiet moments, long conversations, dance parties and gratitude.
